Herend Porcelain Planter Pot Handpainted Apponyi Rust
This is a Herend planter bowl in the Apponyi Chinese Bouquet rust pattern, featuring stylised peonies, encased by garlands! The gold gilding on the rim is 24K and reflects beautifully against the orangey tones of the flowers.
Made in Hungary by the famous Herend company, founded in the 19th century, these pieces are still highly collectible today!
This piece is from the 1980s, but the Apponyi flower concept was originally created in 1930 for Count Albert Apponyi. The pattern is one of the most desired Herend designs!
A perfect addition to a Herend collection or as a gift for a lover of famous porcelain!
