Treasure Hunting!

Hello everyone! At last the summer weather is kicking in and we can start enjoying being out and about again!

We had our local summer fete and carnival this weekend which was very busy! It was brilliant to see so many people having fun! Especially after it had been cancelled for the last two years because of Covid.

On Sunday we visited our local car boot sale at Great Amwell! This sale has been going for years and runs between March and November! We find amazing bits and pieces there, it always feels like a little bit of a treasure hunt!

We found lots of beautiful items that will be going into the shop for sale very soon. My personal favourite, which I think may end up in my own collection is a stunning 1930s Tiki Deluxe cigarette case and lighter!

Smoking has become very unfashionable these days but in the 1930s everyone smoked and there are many awesome designs of lighters, cigarette cases and other smoking paraphernalia!

We always like cruet pots too and we found an amazing rocket shaped salt cellar which Peter has his eye on to keep! Anything rocket or space orientated and Peter is happy!

It’s good to go and see what you might find and it’s fun to walk around chatting with the stall owners so we would highly recommend you visit your local one too, especially with the lovely weather we are having!
